Community Foundation Scholarship Awards

The Community Foundation Announces 2023 Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the following scholarship recipients –

Maria Alexander, a graduating senior from Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Robbin S. Lindsey Memorial Scholarship. Maria plans to study Entrepreneurship at Indiana Wesleyan University. She is the daughter of Steve and Julie Alexander.

Lauren Bowen, a Nursing student at Ball State University, is a recipient of the Wilfred W. Wingate Scholarship.

Lily Carpenter, a graduating senior from Muncie Central High School, is a recipient of the Lathrop P. Johnson Scholarship. Lily plans to study Pre-Audiology with a minor in Sign Language at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Melissa Carpenter.

Rhian Cline, a graduating senior from Delta High School, is a recipient of the Arthur D. and Josephine M. Robling Scholarship. Rhian plans to study Biology at Miami University. She is the daughter of Jeff Cline and Shannon Donnell-Cline.

Conner Cole, a graduating senior from Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Carolyn A. Lucas Scholarship. Conner plans to study Neuroscience at Indiana University. He is the son of Mr. Andrew Cole and Ms. Christina Cole.

Kendra Nicole Keesling, a graduating senior from Delta High School, is a recipient of the E.K. Keesling Memorial Scholarship. Kendra plans to study Nursing at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Bart and Tina Keesling.

Dakota F. Stovall, a graduating senior from Muncie Central High School, is a recipient of the Ross Family Autism Scholarship. Dakota plans to study Math Education at Ivy Tech Community College. He is the son of Carolyn and Jericho Stovall.

Cameren Wilson, a graduating senior from Delta High School, is a recipient of the Delta Eagles Wrestling Scholarship. Cameren plans to study Construction Management with a minor in Business at Ball State University. He is the son of Derek and Angela Wilson

The Community Foundation will announce scholarship recipients in the order that students accept awards.


The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. encourages philanthropy, assists donors in building an enduring source of charitable assets, and exercises leadership in directing resources to enhance the quality of life for residents of Muncie and Delaware County. Since 1985, community members and businesses have helped the Foundation grow our endowment to $83 million. Using the earnings on the endowment, the Foundation distributes grants to nonprofit organizations, including scholarships to support students through post-secondary education. To date, the Foundation has awarded nearly $65 million to enhance the quality of life of the residents of Muncie and Delaware County.
