Community Foundation Scholarship Awards

The Community Foundation Announces 2023 Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the following scholarship recipients –

Reese Baker, a graduating senior from Wapahani High School, is a recipient of the eKeeper Systems Unparalleled Excellence Scholarship. Reese plans to study Computer and Information Technology (Systems Infrastructure) at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Anna and Eric Baker.

Grace Bond, a rising senior studying Exceptional Needs Education at Ball State University, is a recipient of the Janice Paige Hughes Scholarship.

Sharon Edwards, a Medical Assistant, Nursing student at Ivy Tech Community College, is a recipient of the Hurley C. and Fredine (Wynn) Goodall Scholarship.

Maddie Etchison, a graduating senior from Daleville Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Bobby Watters Scholarship. Maddie plans to study Animal Science at Purdue University. She is the daughter of Donna Etchison and Steve Etchison.

Rayven Luzadder, a graduating senior from Wes-Del High School, is a recipient of the Muncie Elks Lodge 245/H.Wayne Standerford Scholarship. Rayven plans to study Christian Ministry with a minor in Youth Ministry at Indiana Wesleyan University. She is the daughter of Jenny Luzadder and Jamey Luzadder.

Elijah Owens, a graduating senior from Daleville Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Adam Cline Scholarship and the Michele Barnhart Hires Scholarship. Elijah plans to study Criminology with a minor in Computer Science at Trine University. He is the son of Jeri Sue Owens.

Tom Sheahan, a Construction Management student at Ball State University, is the recipient of the Braden R. Reynolds Memorial Construction Management Scholarship.

Allie Wilhelm, a graduating senior from Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Arthur D. and Josephine M. Robling Scholarship. Allie plans to study Nursing at Purdue University. She is the daughter of Laurie and Mike Wilhelm.

The Community Foundation will announce scholarship recipients in the order that students accept awards.


The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. encourages philanthropy, assists donors in building an enduring source of charitable assets, and exercises leadership in directing resources to enhance the quality of life for residents of Muncie and Delaware County. Since 1985, community members and businesses have helped the Foundation grow our endowment to $83 million. Using the earnings on the endowment, the Foundation distributes grants to nonprofit organizations, including scholarships to support students through post-secondary education. To date, the Foundation has awarded nearly $65 million to enhance the quality of life of the residents of Muncie and Delaware County.
