Howard Gregory was a longtime resident and leader in Yorktown. In 2000 he established a fund to benefit the Town of Yorktown at The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. Howard took great pride in his community and wanted to make sure that Yorktown continued to thrive and grow long after he was gone. In 2008 marketing and promotion efforts were re-launched for this important fund. With significant help from the Yorktown Lions Club, an additional $30,000 was contributed to this Fund. The Town of Yorktown Endowment Fund at the Foundation guarantees a steady stream of income to fund worthwhile projects in Yorktown for years to come.
