The Community Foundation Announces 2024 Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the following scholarship recipients –

Waverley Daugherty, a senior at Muncie Central High School, is a recipient of the Arthur D. and Josephine M. Robling Scholarship and the Dr. William J. and Thelma V. McNabney Memorial Scholarship. Waverley plans to study Psychology at Purdue University. She is the daughter of Tim Daugherty and Karen Daugherty.

Daelin Green, a senior at Muncie Central High School, is a recipient of the Jerry Parrish Scholarship. Daelin plans to study Engineering at Purdue University. He is the son of Brent and Kinra Green.

Jayden Jett, a senior Cowan Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Nicholas Brooks Sherfy Memorial Scholarship. Jayden plans to study Business at West Liberty University. He is the son of John and Cynthia Jett.

Kadence Jones, a senior at Muncie Central High School, is a recipient of the Murray’s Jeweler’s Scholarship. Kadence plans to study Graphic Design and Videography with a minor in Marketing at Indiana University East. She is the daughter of Chase Jones.

Katelyn McCauley, a senior at Wapahani High School, is a recipient of the Grace K. Maring Scholarship. Katelyn plans to study Nursing at Indiana University Southeast. She is the daughter of Stephen and Melia McCauley.

Sara Jo Nichols, a senior at Cowan Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Max V. and Nellie Cathrine Creviston Scholarship. Sara plans to study English with a concentration in Creative Writing at Indiana University.

Griffin Smith, a senior at Cowan Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Max V. and Nellie Cathrine Creviston Scholarship. Griffin plans to study General Management with a minor in Marketing at Purdue University. Griffin is the son of Kirk Smith and Glenna Smith.

Samantha Stinson, a senior at Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Muncie Elks Lodge 245/H. Wayne Standerford Scholarship. Samantha plans to study Nursing at Ball State University. She is the daughter of April Stinson and John Stinson.

Grace Ward, a student at Ball State University, is the recipient of the Janice Paige Hughes Scholarship. Grace studies Intense Special Education.

Conner Winchester, a senior at Cowan Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Max V. and Nellie Cathrine Creviston Scholarship and the Owen H. Ramey Memorial Scholarship. Conner plans to study Engineering at Purdue University. He is the son of Mike and Christa Winchester.

The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. encourages philanthropy, assists donors in building an enduring source of charitable assets, and exercises leadership in directing resources to enhance the quality of life for residents of Muncie and Delaware County. Since 1985, community members and businesses have helped the Foundation grow our endowment to $83 million. Using the earnings on the endowment, the Foundation distributes grants to nonprofit organizations, including scholarships to support students through post-secondary education. To date, the Foundation has awarded nearly $65 million to enhance the quality of life of the residents of Muncie and Delaware County.
