Community Foundation Scholarship Awards

The Community Foundation Announces 2023 Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the following scholarship recipients –

Zion Bricker, a senior at Daleville Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Bobby Watters Scholarship. Zion plans to study Accounting at Ball State University. He is the son of James Bricker and Sunshine Bricker.

Josie Byrd, a senior at Cowan Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Max V. and Nellie Cathrine Creviston Scholarship. Josie plans to study Exercise Science at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Jimmy and Lesley Byrd.

Hailey Conner, a senior at Delta High School, is a recipient of the Delaware Community Schools Memorial Scholarship. Hailey plans to study Biology at Indiana University. She is the daughter of Richard and Jenny Conner.

Lauren Luce, a senior at Wapahani High School, is a recipient of the Arthur D. and Josephine M. Robling Scholarship. Lauren plans to study Pharmacy at Purdue University. She is the daughter of Matt and Marie Luce.

Katelynn Martin, a senior at Daleville Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Kathleen Rozelle-Camplin Scholarship. Katelynn plans to study Nursing at Ivy Tech Community College. She is the daughter of Rachel and Jeff Martin.

Hanzala Reshtya, a senior at Muncie Central High School, is a recipient of the Arthur D. and Josephine M. Robling Scholarship. Hanzala plans to study Pre- Medicine with a minor in Chemistry at Ball State University. He is the son of Siddiqullah and Yasmin Reshtya.

Ali Smith, a senior at Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Ashley Burgauer Scholarship. Ali plans to study Nursing at Baldwin Wallace University. She is the daughter of Jim and Jess Smith.

Brynn Wright, a senior at Cowan Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Max V. and Nellie Cathrine Creviston Scholarship. Brynn plans to study Dietetics, Nutrition, Fitness, and Health at Purdue University. She is the daughter of Vince and Deborah Wright.

The Community Foundation will announce scholarship recipients in the order that students accept awards.


The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. encourages philanthropy, assists donors in building an enduring source of charitable assets, and exercises leadership in directing resources to enhance the quality of life for residents of Muncie and Delaware County. Since 1985, community members and businesses have helped the Foundation grow our endowment to $83 million. Using the earnings on the endowment, the Foundation distributes grants to nonprofit organizations, including scholarships to support students through post-secondary education. To date, the Foundation has awarded nearly $65 million to enhance the quality of life of the residents of Muncie and Delaware County.
