About: Erville Kenneth Keesling was a farmer for most of his life, but his true vocation was being an educator. He served the citizens of Perry Township as a teacher and principal of Center School, and later a member of the school board. He was regarded very highly by his students and became an integral part of Center School’s image. This scholarship was established in Mr. Keesling’s memory to honor a college-bound senior from Perry Township or a child or grandchild of a graduate of Center School.
- College-bound graduating senior from Wapahani High School who is a resident of Perry Township at the time of graduation OR a high school senior (in any high school) or current college student who is a child or grandchild (including great-grandchildren) of a graduate of Center School in Perry Township in Delaware County, Indiana.
- Recipients must currently be pursuing or plan to pursue a degree or certificate at an accredited college, university, or vocational school.
- Consideration will be given to the applicant’s academic achievements and ability, citizenship and moral character, honors and awards received, extra-curricular activities, community service activities, work experience, financial need.
Applications for this scholarship will be open on January 1, 2021.
