New Staff - March 2023

Community Foundation Welcomes New Staff

In March, The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County welcomed a new staff member. Molly Harty joins the team as the Community Partner for Program and Nonprofit Relations.

As Community Partner for Program and Nonprofit Relations, Molly builds relationships with nonprofit organizations to support community grantmaking. She can often be found connecting with school administrators and counselors, teachers, and nonprofit organizations serving the rural communities in Delaware County.

Molly is a life-long resident of Delaware County. She attended Delta High School and graduated from the Entrepreneurship program at Ball State University.

“As a lifelong resident of Delaware County, I am thrilled to join the Community Foundation and work alongside others to continually improve our area,” said Molly. “My family instilled in me from an early age that your neighbors matter and that you should lend a hand whenever you can. I'm excited to be part of an organization that believes in extending that hand to the entire community to promote positive change for generations to come.”

Since 2015, the Foundation staff has grown from five employees to nine. This growth in personnel aligns with a 50 percent increase in grantmaking and asset growth of more than $30 million over the same period. This is only possible through strong relationship-building with nonprofit organizations doing good work in the community and with donors who support the work of The Community Foundation. In 2022, staff titles were updated to reflect the focus on relationships with donors, nonprofit organizations, and others across the community.
