COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GRANTS ADDITIONAL $7,000 IN RECOVERY FUNDING TO COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS
The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. awarded an additional $7,000 to four nonprofit organizations to support emergency response and recovery efforts related to the COVID-19 crisis.
Community Foundation staff continue to connect with and listen to the plans, challenges, and needs of a variety of vital community organizations across Delaware County. Decisions for this round of response funding were made to support community recovery by addressing these organization’s needs related to the Coronavirus Pandemic. This is the eighth round of response funding, including both emergency and recovery support, totaling $91,000 since March 23.
Response and recovery grants in the amounts of $1,000 to $2,000 have been awarded to the following organizations:

Cornerstone Center for the Arts

Emergency response and recovery grants are funded through The Unrestricted Fund of The Community Foundation. Because of our history of unrestricted donor support, we are able to flexibly respond to unexpected and changing needs in the community. The Community Foundation will continue to assess our community’s needs and respond appropriately.
The Community Foundation can award grants to charitable organizations and units of government. Grants to individuals are not permitted. Nonprofit organizations may apply for a Recovery Response Grant for needs related to the impact of COVID-19 by utilizing an online application accessible from the Foundation’s website at cfmdin.org\2020-covid-19.
