Three Delaware County Nonprofit Organizations Receive $35K from Harry and Janet Kitselman Fund Grants at The Community Foundation
The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. has awarded $35,000 in grants to three nonprofit organizations from the Harry and Janet Kitselman Fund.
Harry and Janet Kitselman were residents and civic leaders in the Muncie community. Per Mr. and Mrs. Kitselman's wishes, a fund was created to administer and distribute grants for the good of the people of Muncie, Indiana, and the surrounding community with fine arts, recreation, children, and the history of East Central Indiana as the areas of focus. The following organizations were recipients of a Harry and Janet Kitselman Fund Grant this year:
Boys and Girls Clubs of Muncie received $12,500 to expand services at the clubs. Funding will support additional personnel, training in mental health first aid, and COVID-19 youth safety.
Motivate Our Minds, Inc. received $7,500 to support academic instruction and enrichment for 75 children across Muncie and Delaware County.
YWCA Central Indiana received $15,000 to renovate the YWCA Family Empowerment Lab which includes a computer lab and playroom. The renovated lab will help to educate and empower women and their children through technology access.
