Three Delaware County Nonprofit Organizations Receive $42K from Harry and Janet Kitselman Fund Grants at The Community Foundation
The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. has awarded $42,354 in grants to three nonprofit organizations from the Harry and Janet Kitselman Fund.
Harry and Janet Kitselman were residents and civic leaders in the Muncie community. Per Mr. and Mrs. Kitselman's wishes, a fund was created to administer and distribute grants for the good of the people of Muncie, Indiana, and the surrounding community with fine arts, recreation, children, and the history of East Central Indiana as the areas of focus. The following organizations were recipients of a Harry and Janet Kitselman Fund Grant this year:
Huffer Memorial Children’s Center, Inc. received $17,354 to support the “Huffer Experience” an on-the-job training program for early childhood educators.
Minnetrista received $5,000 to support the Bob Ross Experience, a custom exhibit highlighting the studio where artist Bob Ross painted and filmed his internationally recognized show, The Joy of Painting.
Ross Community Center Inc. received $20,000 to replace the playset in the Rose Park playground with a commercial-grade playset designed to foster creativity, imagination, and recreational play in children.
