    The following Robert P. Bell grants totaling $2,549 have been awarded to local teachers for the third grant cycle of the 2010-2011 academic year.  It is estimated that over 750 Delaware County students will benefit from these grants.

    Friday, December 17th, President Obama signed into law The Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization and Job Creation Act of 2010 (H.R. 4853).  The new law includes a reinstatement of IRA Charitable Rollover provisions for 2010 and 2011.

    Robert P. Bell grants totaling $1,583 have been awarded to local teachers for the second grant cycle of the 2010-2011 academic year.  It is estimated that nearly 175 Delaware County students will benefit from these grants.

  • ARF addresses pet population problem

    Louise represents a growing population of animals, often abandoned, who wander Delaware County and produce multiple litters of offspring. As a way to curb their number, ARF created its Spaying & Neutering In-Need Pets program (SNIP) that defrays the cost of sterilization on pets of low-income residents.... more »

    The Community Foundation has announced that the Robert P. Bell grants totaling $2,969 have been awarded to local teachers for the first grant cycle of the 2010-2011 academic year.  It is estimated that over 1,000 Delaware County students will benefit from these grants.

  • 2010 Sursa Award honors Tanya Reed

    Tanya Reed's successful efforts to restructure Bridges Community Services, Inc., have earned her the 2010 David Sursa Leadership Award. The citation, which includes a $1,000 grant to the nominating organization, was presented at the Foundation's 25th anniversary celebration in May.

  • Anniversary celebration boosts visibility

    Interest in The Community Foundation soared in the weeks leading up to the 25th anniversary celebration, touching off a wave of inquiries from potential donors. The results of this interest are as tangible as they are gratifying. The Foundation's family of funds has expanded, bringing the total number to more than 180. New funds-established shortly before or after the celebration-will provide scholarships for college-bound students, support the work of local nonprofit agencies, and pay tribute to the memory of community volunteers.
